Navarre Properties Rental Policies

CHECK-IN: 3 – 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Saturday. Check in time is strictly enforced to allow for proper cleaning of rentals. Should your arrival be on a Sunday, holiday, or after 5:00 PM Monday through Saturday, please call our office for late check-in instructions and to confirm that you will be late. Your check-in packet (and keys) will be in the lockbox on the front porch of our office located at 1816 Alpine Ave. You will receive the lock box code upon calling in your late arrival. Please retrieve your keys and check-in information and proceed to your rental. Return to our office on the next business day to pay your balance.

CHECK OUT: 10 a.m. Strictly enforced to allow for preparation of our next arrival. A late check out fee of one day’s rent will be charged for failure to comply with the 10 a.m. departure time.

Accommodations Capacity: Each unit is limited to the Number in Party listed on the rental confirmation. Please check your confirmation for this number. If maximum occupancy is exceeded, you will be asked to leave and all monies paid will be forfeited. We cannot accept reservations from student groups. Reservations made under false pretenses will result in eviction and forfeiture of deposit and/or monies paid.

Reservations: Must be made by an adult over the age of 25. Reservations must have one adult over the age of 25 for every 4 persons under the age of 25 occupying the unit during the full time of the reservation. Reservations made under false pretense will be subject to eviction and forfeit of deposit and/or monies paid. Identification must be shown upon check-in for verification of age.

Advance Deposits/ Cancellation Policy: Advance Deposits may be made by credit card and are due at the time the reservation is made. If reservations are cancelled prior to fourteen days before the reservation check-in date, the deposit less a $50 cancellation fee will be refunded. All reservations canceled less than 14 days prior to arrival will forfeit the initial $250 deposit and be charged an additional $25 cancellation fee.

Rental Payment Balance: Balance is due in full upon check-in. Payment may be made by cash, traveler’s check, bank money order, cashier’s check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. The full balance will be charged to late arrivals to the credit card on file.

Security Deposit: Visa/MasterCard/Discover/American Express card number will be required prior to check-in. If repairs to the rental are required as a result of damage from your stay, Navarre Properties, Inc., reserves the right to charge the card for the expense of repairs.

Housekeeping: Accommodations will be cleaned to quality standards prior to your arrival and after your departure. No daily maid service is provided. We ask that you respect the cleaning guidelines for cleaning responsibilities that will be provided at arrival. Properties left excessively dirty will be charged an additional cleaning fee.

*We respectfully request that you remember that you are staying in someone’s home during your vacation. Please treat it with care and leave it in good condition at check-out. Also, locked closets are maintained by home owners for personal use. Please respect these areas. Do not attempt to open them.

Linen/Towels/Supplies: Accommodations have complete linen packages provided. We ask that you bring your own beach towels and beach blankets. Linens must not be removed from units and/or houses. Guests will be charged for missing and/or damaged linens. Guests will need to supply their own paper products and supplies. A complimentary set-up of trash liners, bathroom tissue, and facial soap is provided. Guests will need to provide any additional items as needed.

Furnishings and Equipment: All rental properties have fully equipped kitchens, coffee makers, dishwashers, color TV’s, microwave ovens, DVD players, central heat and air conditioning, and telephone.

Pets and Smoking: Pets and smoking are not allowed in any of our properties. A $200 fee will be charged if you smoke in the unit or home.

Unit Substitutions: In rare instances, a unit that has been reserved may become unavailable. We reserve the right to change your reservation to like or better accommodations. Rates may vary and Navarre Properties’ liability shall be limited to a refund of deposit.

Severe Weather: If hurricanes or other extreme weather conditions occur, an evacuation notice may be issued. If an evacuation notice is issued, refunds will be prorated from the time of your departure from the island. If no evacuation notice is issued, and you choose to leave the island before the end of your reservation period, no refunds will be made.

Parking: Please park in designated areas only. Most properties allow only 2 vehicles, no boats, RV’s or trailers. Specific properties do have vehicle restrictions. Our beach homes do have more space available and do allow for personal water craft, boats, and motorcycles. Please inquire at the office.

Grilling: Management prohibits charcoal or open fire grilling on or under decks, balconies, porches, or within ten feet of any island structure. Please check property for designated grilling areas.

Garbage Removal: Please place household trash in appropriate receptacles, trash chutes, on-site dumpsters, or in covered outside containers provided. Check with the office for trash pick up days if renting a beach home. If trash is left in the rental an additional cleaning charge may be assessed.

Indemnity: Navarre Properties, Inc. will not be liable for any damages to rental property or furnishings, nor for injuries resulting from any accident that may occur in or on the premises during guest occupancy. Representatives of Navarre Properties, Inc., or owners may enter the premises at any reasonable time to make repairs. Navarre Properties, Inc. will not be held responsible for acts of theft or vandalism or other damages to the guest’s personal items left in the unit. Neither Navarre Properties, Inc., nor the owner is responsible for personal items left on the premises by guest upon departure. Units may not be sublet.

Please remember that these policies and guidelines are set forth for your protection, as well as the protection of the properties managed by Navarre Properties, Inc., and will be strictly enforced.
